Nice and iLL Releases 2nd Video : Get Louder

Nice and iLL on the set of the "Get Louder" video at Motion Cafe
With getting ready for music video number 2 to be released, Nice and iLL is very anxious to see how fans will react to the new video to their song "Get Louder".  John Galeano, who directed and edited the video is best known for his videos on StreetHeatTV.com.  "Street Heat has risen to be one of the top film companies world-wide, gaining respect of the urban and hip-hop community."
Galeano and the street heat team he belongs and works for, have produced, directed and edited music videos, produced exclusive interviews, behind the scenes footage and "classic DVD's for the masses".

Deep thought went into the ideas and plan process into the "Get Louder" video and where it would be filmed.  The video took place locally in Freeport at the restaurant Bonito's located on the Nautical Mile and at the new bar/club "Motion Cafe".  John Galeano and his high quality equipment and talented crew, made sure Nice and iLL's video was above and beyond up to perfection.  John Galeano, who is also a Freeport native like CeeMizz, Jay-Yarde and Joey Jack enjoyed helping and being apart of this project.

Not only with the help of Galeano and his crew, the groups close friends and fans helped make the video as well.  "It didn't even feel like we were shooting a music video because we were all just enjoying ourselves and having fun", said a friend.  With the oriental vibe to the song, Nice and iLL knew right away the best place to shoot part of the video was at a Hibachi restaurant. With great music, food, and friends, who wouldn't have wanted to be apart of the fun? But overall, the boys of Nice and iLL would agree that everything went well and smooth on their 2nd music video shoot.

With continuing the work on their mix-tape, thats the one project J-Yarde, CeeMizz and Joey Jack are bringing in with them into the new year. With the new motto  "#ChasingFame" (also title of their upcoming mix-tape dropping in mid 2012)  spreading on their twitter page and all other social media sites, nothing is preventing them from chasing their dream of becoming famous. Let the movement of Nice and iLL & Chasing Fame be the new slogan for the new year.

"Nothing is going to get in the way of chasing our dreams", said the group. Hard work, dedication and creativity is what Joey Jack, J-Yarde and CeeMizz seem to live by.

CeeMizz describes the new year as "crunch time", he knows the group will be spending long hours in the studio trying to get this mix-tape right, planning all upcoming shows & venues to new ideas they will bring to the table for their fans.   With one professional video already out, "3 a.m." ft. Chad B, more official videos will be taken place as well, described the boys.  With high hopes, determination and hard work, lets get ready to see what the boys of Nice and iLL are ready to accomplish.

Nice and iLL Gets Ready for Holiday Concert

Promo Poster for the Event
Nice and iLL has been invited to perform and host the "Freeport's Got Talent, Christmas Concert" this upcoming Friday, December 23rd, at the Freeport Recreation Center.  The "Freeport's Got Talent" concert series ranges monthly.  These talent shows give the residents of Freeport the opportunity to come together and to express and share their talent in singing, dancing, playing instrumentals etc. People of all ages come out to perform.

Dominique Williams, the coordinator of the show, explained how "words can't describe how excited  Freeport's Got Talent is to have Nice and iLL be a part of their next showcase." The Event is being promoted all throughout Freeport, so the show can have a good crowd.

After every showcase, the latest one  is aired on channel 18 for Cablevision and channel 44 for Verizon.   So even if you aren't able to attend the venue, you can still be apart of it by watching it  on TV.  Mayor Hardwick, of Freeport attends every show to help promote a sense of "unity" in the community.

Not only is Nice and iLL performing at the event, but were also asked to do a mini commercial to help promote the showcase, that will be aired on either channel 18 or 44 depending on your service.  "Being asked to perform at this event in the center of our community is very honoring and exciting", stated the group.

With high hopes in bringing in a good crowd on the 23rd, Nice and iLL plans on performing five of their favorite songs, including their new christmas song, "Picking Up the Drum ".

Nice and iLL Creates "The Long Island Cypher"

According to Urban Dictionary, a "Cypher" is, "Anything cyclical.  If you're freestyling, you rap in a cypher ( one after the other).  Interrupting another man will break that cypher (unless he's next in line and the dude behind him is falling off)." In other words, to freestyle but not in battle terms.

Hip-Hop Awards '11: Shady 2.0 Cypher

A cypher is a process that taps into your subconscious, or can be described as,  "a state of mind where thoughts and actions flow from your mind..."

At the BET awards every year, there is always a Hip-Hop cypher with well known rappers in the industry.  This past awards show they presented the "Shady 2.0 Cypher".  Five artists stood in a circle and freestyled in order one after the other. The artists in "Slaughter House" were presented in this years Cypher at the awards show.

Through this idea of a "Cypher", Nice and iLL decided to create a "Long Island Cypher".  It will build moral for Long Island hip-hop and upcoming artists. "The Long Island Cypher" brings awareness to Long Island, and makes people aware of the talent coming out of it.

"It gives rappers from all over Long Island the opportunity to come together, get their name out there and to be heard", said Cee Mizz.  What better way for all Long Island rappers to unite and represent their hometown at the same time? Nice and iLL's Cypher was hosted in Baldwin this past weekend, at a clothing store called "Central Station".

With its great turnout of rappers who came to perform and those who came to support and listen, the "Long Island Cypher" was an overall success.  Cee Mizz, J-Yard, and Joey Jack are already planning for the next one.  The word spread like rapid fire through Facebook, promoting, and overall talk , and now artists in the area have been contacting Nice and iLL to sign up.

This Cypher is recorded on a professional camera, then edited and posted on internet sites such as Facebook and YouTube for everyone to see.  Instead of competing against one another, why not come together to share a common interest and passion.

The Boys of Nice and iLL Launch Their First "Official" Music Video "3 A.M ft. Chad B"

Nice and iLL has finally released their new hit song "3 A.M. ft. Chad B". The song is more of an upbeat club/ party song. With the groups original beat, the song so far has been well- liked by many of its fans. "This is my favorite song produced by Nice and iLL so far", said Catherine Jewels; a Nice and iLL fan.

The group hopes that this video will bring chance for them spreading through the internet quickly and hoping to reach MTV or BET, like featuring artist Chad B's previous song "Hit it". The song was produced in only a day, and the video was filmed a few weeks later in only one night.

"Not really knowing how the visual for the video would be at first, overall came out better than we could have planned for", said J-Yard. The boys of Nice and iLL described the video shoot as having fun but being productive at the same time. "Having your friends and fans come out and be apart and help supporting what you do is like killing two birds with one stone", said Cee Mizz.

After many weeks of editing and making the video just right, they are now able to launch and promote their first official video. With HardRoc's Chad B on the track as well, the video will definitely get many viewers from New Jersey to Long Island. "The hopes for this video to reach a new set of eyes, audience and fan base is what we are hoping for, through promoting this video", explained the boys.

With over 1,600 views on the video so far on YouTube.  With it being streamed through facebook, and uploaded on sites like Sound Cloud and Reverbnation, the video seems to give them a step in the right direction.
